With advice my dog situation improved!

So I wrote a post the other day about how much I hate my husband's dog because she doesn't listen to me...etc, also because of my lack of knowledge of how to treat a house dog and lack of knowledge of dogs really... I have never had a dog only hunting dogs but my dad took care of them. However, I tried some of the advice and things have changed tremendously. She listens to me more and she more obedient. I have started to like her more, I still hate that no matter what I do she smells very bad and that is hard to deal with because I get really sick from it. Any help with more ideas to control her smell other than washing her and taking her to the groomers because I've done that? Thanks everyone for your help!
