Is strep pneumo, pneumonia?

I have this and I have to take antibiotics. I also have 4 kids who are sick. We’ve been sick for 2 months where we recover for a week and get sick again with the same symptoms. I told my kids doctor about it and how I have strep pneumo and all she wants to do is give my kids the flu shot 🤦🏽‍♀️ but don’t they need antibiotics also? And to check what kind of virus they have? She says they need the flu shot instead of antibiotics. Covid is negative BTW and we have been negative for 2 months already. She gave them cough medicine and right now my 2 little ones have a really bad cough so I’m thinking of just taking them to the ER. But I’m wondering is strep pneumo pneumonia? Isn’t pneumonia dangerous? Ugh we can’t recover we seem to be giving it to each other back and fourth
