VBAC after angle extension?

MU

So I ended up with an emergency section with my son in Sept 2019 after getting to 10cms and pushing. He was stuck and back to back. I wasn't aware of what actually happened until I spoke to the consultant about my plans for my next birth in April.

I was informed that they had to extend the incision due to the fact my son was stuck. In her words it was a difficult birth and they pulled him out leg first.

I had in my head I wanted to try for a vbac but she has essentially told me that with every vbac there is a risk of 1 in 300 but with me she couldn't calculate how risky it would be. She's not told me no though. I've to make up my own mind.

Essentially I want the baby here safely but I feel so disappointed that vbac might not be possible or too risky. Its just another thing I've been unable to control this pregnancy.

If course my friend just gave birth yesterday and her labour was 5 hours from start to finish with no complications. I feel like even more of a failure than I did 😔.

Has anyone been through this? Has anyone had a vbac after a similar situation?
