Group B Strep

I tested positive for bacteria in my urine about a month or so ago, so I got antibiotics for a week.

It didn't clear up and I was still having smell and more than frequent urination.

I went back to get tested 2-3 weeks ago. I knew I needed more antibiotics but the dip said negative. So I went on til last Friday and got a urine culture done.

I went to ob triage yesterday due to extreme weakness and lethargy, shortness of breath. I thought it was my iron because I had low levels previously but I've been taking supplements.

They got my culture results from Friday while I was there and I have group b strep. She said it would only pose risk if left untreated. So now I'm thinking "I have been untreated... for the past 2-3 weeks" should I be concerned? I also think it has progressed to a UTI now as I am peeing every 20 min and I'm in pain before going. Literally happens shortly after my last pee

I did test positive for GBS with my son at 35+4 when PROM happened and I delivered. So obviously that caused preterm labour for him... Realizing that now.

I've been given penicillin 2x a day for 7 days. I'm hoping it clears.... I'm suffering 😭
