IUD removal and getting back to normal…or something more???

I got my Mirena IUD removed back in March 2021 (got it in Aug 2020).

We’ve been trying to get pregnant since June of 2021.

My dr said it can take up to 9 months for your body to go back to normal after getting an IUD removed. Have others been told the same thing? I don’t remember being told 9 mo when I got it put in, or else I would not have done this. I thought I was told 3 (five or take, knowing every body is different).

Also - I’ve had very irregular periods since it was removed. Spotting for 3 days, then heavy period - starting THE DAY AFTER MY OVULATION CYCLE ENDS!!

Not trying to sound shouty or angry, I’m just very confused, and frustrated, and emotionally done. My period just started again, not expecting it for another 5 days or so. I was really hoping I was pregnant this time.

Any advice? My dr said not to worry until January. Then we will have a different conversation. IDK what to do or think at this point. Am I worrying over nothing??
