Hi all. I have been off the app for a while since my baby has been born. I hope everyone Is doing well. I am 13 weeks postpartum now & have been having some weird blood pressure issues and wondering if any of you have experienced something similar. So my blood pressure is not consistently high but it shoots up to 150s/100s and even got top number of 160 last night. But after a few minutes it will come down as far as <120s/70s. So the fluctuation is drastic. I noticed when the bp is high my heart rate is also elevated but I don’t feel it. Doctors obviously don’t want to put me on blood pressure medicine bc it isn’t consistently high so it could be dangerous to medicate. But no one has been able to figure out a cause for this and kind of brushing me off as being anxious or stressed or hormonal from postpartum stuff or that I’m just developing hypertension. I’m 28 and otherwise healthy and I think I’d see a consistent creep up in bp if I was developing true hypertension. Not this whacky fluctuation. Not sure what things I should ask to be checked for. Any insight or experience with something similar would be comforting. Thank you.
