Un-medicated bipolar boyfriend is lashing out - would it be wrong to ask his family for help?
We have been together for almost 4 years, have a 7 month old, and I’m pregnant again with a high risk pregnancy. I’m high risk for an early and tiny baby.
He went off of his medications probably a month or two ago and he’s definitely showing signs of increased anger since going off of it. He has an increased sex drive and gets mad if I don’t want sex or seem excited to have sex. If he thinks, for any reason, that I am upset with him, he freaks out. He gets annoyed quickly hearing our son cry. When he gets mad, he says a lot of hurtful things like telling me I should die, that our babies were a mistake, calls me a bitch, etc. A few days ago, he started to throw stuff around and today attempted to throw a shirt at me - all of this over sex. He doesn’t act like this when he is on meds and in therapy.
He went off his medications the last time I was pregnant too and ended up so bad that he almost committed suicide the day before I gave birth.
If he doesn’t go back on his meds I don’t know if I can stay like this
