If you had GD would you know about it?

Question

I've had my Gestational diabetes test although it came back inconclusive. I was suppose to get it done recently but I haven't. The mornings are hard with my sickness I have found it hard getting down there. If I did have it wouldn't I know??? I do get dizzy and get headaches although blood pressure is always low.

I had no clue that I had it and honestly now that I’m checking my sugar 4 times per day I still have no clue if the number will be high or not

Never had any symptoms of it and I’ve had it for my two first pregnancies and am preparing to have it a third. I passed my 2 hr test at 8 weeks (they test me early now) and I will test again around 20 weeks.

Not necessarily. I’m on my third pregnancy and never had it before but have it this time. I didn’t really notice anything out of the ordinary besides a little less energy. I would have never guessed i did because I was small and active before and have gained the least amount of weight of all my pregnancies. It’s all about how your pregnancy hormones process sugar.

The majority of people do have it and don't know. Having GD and not carefully controlling your sugar levels can not only affect your body and possibly do irreversible damage, but also can harm your baby too.

Not always as it can be managed by a good diet. You could be extra thirsty, hungry or lethargic? But that could also just be Pregnancy symptoms.
