Fasting glucose levels rising before labor?

Question

My fasting glucose levels have been good for weeks but the last few days they’ve been elevated (93, 96 and 105 today). I couldn’t find an answer on Google, some say it rises and some say it lowers before labor. 
I will be 38 weeks tomorrow, I plan to ask my doctor today but I wanted y’all’s thoughts/opinions as well. 
Also, not sure if it matters but I am not on insulin. I do take 500mg Metformin with breakfast.

It’s normal some women’s raise and some drop! Mine dropped when I hit 36 weeks. But you should tell your doctor with you being this far along they may or may not do anything. I had to be induced at almost 39 weeks most doctors don’t like you to go over 39 with gestational.

Hmm maybe related to whatever you had eaten the night before? There is a phenomenon with higher AM blood sugars that can occur. I’m not sure it’s a sign of soon labor though.

Update: Doctor said it could either be a sign of labor or just from lack of sleep. She is now having me take another 500mg Metformin after dinner to help with my fasting numbers.
