My body is done

Went to L&D last night , I was having consistent contractions & they hurt really bad. They were getting picked up on the monitor as well. The nurse checked me and I’m still the same 1cm & the dr said if I’m I open more in a hour we’ll go from there but I didn’t. I’m so confused on the whole opening when I’m having a c section. Why do I need to open 4cm before they do anything. I have to have pain & open then get cut open🥴😩 I got discharged and still we’re having them that hurt. My body feels like it’s going to shut down at any moment with this pain and what it’s doing to my body! Just venting!
