Symptoms before positive?

Might be a dumb question but can you get pregnancy symptoms before you get a positive test? I'm having sickness that's exactly like I had with my son, feel like I have the flu. Thought my son was the flu too so I didn't test untill the day after missed period and got a bfp 😂 Im going to wait a few days to test but wondering others experiences?

Before I found out I was pregnant I thought it was just my period coming but shortly after I found out the morning sickness and tender boobs came☺️

My last pregnancy in June 2021, I had severely tender nipples, bloated to high heck, sensitive to smells, cramping. I had that for nearly a week before I got my positive 2 days after missed period.

Not dumb! But it’s tricky because period and pregnancy symptoms are basically the same. The day I found out I was pregnant with my son I woke up feeling like I had a massive hangover, but I hadn’t drank the night before. With my daughter I had no symptoms and just decided to test the day before my period

I could smell everything. My nipples were stinging. And I didn’t start craving chocolate like I do with pms.
