Odd or what?

Me: 10 month old and 2.5 year old

Friend #1: 6 month old and 3 year old

Friend #2: 6 month old and 2.5 year old

This is the make up of our friend group for context.

I know it's normal for toddlers to get jealous and regress when a sibling is born. I've seen it with my own kiddo. But if my daughter wants to do something "babyish", I let her know she is a big girl, and she's too big for something.

Friend #2, just lets her kid do it. And to some extent it's harmless, I get it. But to what extent?

Her toddler is 35lbs and likes to sit in infant car seats (not while driving, obviously), infant swings, jumparoos, etc.

She brought her toddler over for me to watch yesterday during nap time. She brought a newborn size swaddle sack. She told me her toddler had to wear this to nap, because she wanted to. I told her I had no idea how to dress a toddler in that. Essentially, you wrap it around her legs, she explained. I found this to be bizarre. Then, today we were at their house and the toddler was in the jumparoo just bouncing like a maniac. Then my daughter says she wants to. I politely tell her, no, even though her friend may do that, we do not.

It just seems to be getting progressively worse. And when they're at our house they have like asked for their toddler to sit in the high chair instead of my infant, who needs it.

I know I sound judgmental, and I don't mean to. I get it's a parenting style thing. But sometimes it impacts me as well, which is odd.
