We downloaded leap frog academy app for our 2.5 year old and he likes it. He’s only played it a handful of times with us next to him so we’re still interacting and helping him but it’s been good. They have a free 30 day trial.

We do these books, a book with reusable stickers, a mini activity cube, and a Montessori sewing kit. It all goes in his backpack with his water bottle so he has some autonomy over it. We also bring an iPad loaded up as a worst case backup. Between all that stuff and all the snacks JetBlue hands out, he’s always been fine for our cross country flights.

A tablet and an activity pack, the ones that come with crayons, stickers, and coloring pages. It might be different with 2.6 yr olds but when we flew with my 18month old he wouldn't play with anything so Don't go crazy with the toys, ita just extra stuff you have to pack.
