Old wives tale?

Mariah • I`m 24. Been TTC since 9/2015 BFP on 12/1/2015 baby#1 Praying for a healthy happy 9mos. Baby dust to u all EDD Aug2016🚼
How early can u do an old wives tale (needle and thread) to find out the gender of ur baby! I'm exactly 6 weeks. Really anxious.
