Does NC pregnancy Medicaid cover mental health?

I'm currently 21 weeks pregnant and I am struggling with ocd, anxiety, and probably even some depression. I'd love to see a therapist and get some help, but I'm not sure if medicaid covers it.

There should be something covered. It might not be who you want to see, but they’ll cover you seeing someone. Call them (the number on the back of your insurance card) and ask them which mental health practitioners are in network, then call around and see who’s taking new patients. In my area, there are long waiting lists, so it might be hard to find someone. However, your OB can also help. Definitely talk to your OB as well before starting any medication if that’s the route you end up taking as they will know more about what is safe and what should be avoided.
