Contractions post birth... Constipation??

Just had my second baby and I've been having insane contractions post birth. To a point where I'm hardly getting any sleep bc they keep coming, not just when I nurse her.
I haven't looked yet and it's been almost 3 days. Could constipation be why? These feel different than just uterine contractions...
Stool softener suggestions?

My hospital said you can keep a rotation of Motrin and Tylenol to help with the pp contractions. Mine were definitely more intense and lasted longer with my second birth. For constipation I used miralax to help get things moving. It’s common if you had an epidural during birth. Prune juice mixed with apple juice and heated up is also a delicious poop cocktail.

Yes, last night after feeding they kept coming stronger and stronger. At one point it even hurt to walk and once I laid down I felt like I could hardly move I was in so much pain

Yes I just had my third baby almost 3 weeks ago and the afterbirth cramps were horrible. Had to breathe through some like contractions! They’ll subside in a couple days. I recommend Miralax for a stool softener!

I had my 3rd babe on the 15th and yes i also had crazy contraction all the time.  And eatting food also made it worse so i was not able to eat much at a time while in the hospital or when i first came home... they have finally subsided about 4 days ago thank god just in time for thanks giving... and the motrin they allowed me in the hospital did absolutely nothing for me!

The contractions for the uterus clamping down get worse with each birth. They don't only happen when nursing, nursing just encourages it to happen faster. Moms who feed formula get them, too. It could also be gas/constipation pains, so a magnesium supplement could help with both. I just had my third and these are but far the worst cramps
