Do you guys criticize people on welfare?

I'm more upset with the people who abuse it. Welfare is not a lifetime income. I have family members who milk the system and have no pride in their abilities, other than selling drugs and stealing.

Nope. Not unless I KNOW the situation.

And I don't mean I see that the family has nice shoes or a nice car. I mean I PERSONALLY know something is amiss.

But even then I am not really entitled to complain about it unless I first report it. Otherwise I'm just as bad as the person abusing the system (who happen to be few and far between despite the fact that everyone seems to know TONS of people who do it 😒).

Only if I know they're refusing to do anything to better themselves and their situation. I have a few friends on welfare and I would never begrudge them that because I know they're doing their best and  sometimes life just sucks and kicks you in the ass.

I criticize the people that collect welfare as their sole source of income. The people that get knocked up for more aid. The ones that refuse to get a job to support themselves. I've even known people who buy soda with their welfare money just to dump out the pop and collect the deposit for booze or drugs.

This is an incredibly valid point- I don't know if any of you have gone through the disability support in the U.K.?
People always go on about how there's people on benefits that don't deserve it (which is true there are so many con men/women now)
But there must be so many people now that deserve disability support that don't receive it cause they can't just through the hoops to get there. A form to get the benefit is like half of a Harry Potter book, I am not kidding you. Then it's an assessment, an interview, then it's an appeal bla blah.
I know someone who now has to sit in his own shit filled diaper all night (he's a grown man who has no control of his lower body) because the government have not awarded him night time care. How lovely is that.

Only if it's someone I know personally who is abusing the system. Like one person I know doesn't even have her 2 kids living with her (they have been living with someone else for over a year), but she still receives food stamps and rent assistance, as well as child support. That is infuriating.
