Does your toddler like daycare?

Anyone else’s toddler absolutely hates being at the daycare? My son is 16 months and has been going to the daycare since he was 9 months old but still cries when he gets dropped off and never happy there. He gets home and is a completely different active and happy kid🤦🏻‍♀️ He’s in daycare 3 days a week, wondering if maybe it would help to send him 5 days a week.

A lot of kids have trouble with the initial transition but then are perfectly ok the rest of the day! Has the daycare said he’s having problems staying calm once he’s there?? I work in pediatric health care and sometimes kids will scream their heads off for a min when handed over and then be happy as can be the rest of the time. The poor parents get to see the hard part of it. I personally make sure to send parents photos of their kids playing calmly and happily if their little one is a tough transition.

My daughter started daycare at 14 months then covid hit a few months later. She wasn’t a fan back then either. She’s almost 3 and a half now and started preschool a few months back and HATED IT. She cried every morning we needed to drop her off.  Told us daily how much she misses us when she was at school. 
We pulled her from now due to sickness and a new baby in the way and she had no objections lol
