So I was talking to my friends about how I’ve never been able to reach the big o while having sex w my bf. My friend told me to try holding my breath & my other friend agreed that she’s always done that & it’s the only way they can reach an orgasm. I’ve never thought of doing it before but, i think I’ll try it tonight. Does anyone else do this? & does it actually help?

When I hold my breath it works against me. I find I orgasm better if I focus on my breathing and I relax.

I've never heard of this. What I've heard is breathing more deeply when you get close because increasing your blood oxygen levels increases sensations of pleasure.

I mean, yes, holding your breath can help put you over the edge or extend your orgasm. But you need to already be about to orgasm. So if you are not reaching that plateau first, holding your breath won’t do much. It’s more of a natural thing people do when they are about to orgasm, not something that sets it off
