No, but I'm taking the hubster anyway. I didn't go with my first 2 but this is his 1st labor so... we are going to check it out. Besides, they usually give out free stuff! Lol

I was sooooooo excited for ours. 175.00 freaking dollars!!!! They taught us massage exercises. Oh that's great my guy isn't a masseuse but he went to school for massage therapy so what a waste. I wanted more things like swaddling lol

I'd say no you'll learn all the basics at the hospital from the nurses and the rest will be instinct and trial and error. I gave birth with no pain interventions and never took a class. My nurse helped me through the whole thing.

Necessary no, but many people find them helpful.

Not necessary. But I am a first time mom and I loved my confident childbirth class. I learned so many great tips to help cope with pain (whether or not I have an epidural) and was even given advice on what to pack for the hospital. I loved having my husband there too. He became much more aware of what a woman is like in labor so he has tools to help me through the process. Honestly, it has made him more involved in the prep work and I am loving that!
