Trying to remain positive
Currently 6wks 2days. I already have a beautiful 5yr old girl. Everything this time around was great until about three days ago when I started cramping (mild). Then a day later I had light bleeding and still cramping. By the third morning I was still light bleeding but the cramping was really bad. I went to the ER. They tested my urine and it showed a faint positive. They took blood and my hcg was between 100-200. Very low. They saw absolutely nothing on the ultrasound. The doc said that none of that means anything for sure since some women just have low levels and don't show on ultrasound this early. He advised me to call my prenatal doc and get another blood test done to see if my hcg levels have increased or dropped. In a normal pregnancy they should double every 2-3 days. Im freaking out waiting to call my doc tomorrow to schedule a blood test. I was diagnosed with "threatened miscarriage" since they had to put something on my charts. I've never experienced a miscarriage but I have a really bad feeling. My SO is so sad but he's trying so hard to stay positive to keep me from being stressed since that will only make things worse. I'm still light bleeding but no more cramping for the past 24hrs. I still have two home pregnancy tests left so I plan on taking them before going in for my blood test tomorrow. I want to go in with some idea of what to look forward to. If I get a negative then I know what to expect. I tracked everything for the past several months on Glow so no chance of date confusion and my period was very regular so I knew I was pregnant before I got my first positive tests last month. Ugh! This REALLY sucks. Hoping it will be nothing, preparing for the worst. I've read so many other stories on here and I know it could go either way. Just weird that everyone sees at least the sac on u/s at 6wks. Mine showed nothing but emptiness!
