Going in to be induced today!
So I started having contractions at 34 weeks, thought I was going into labour, I got the steroid shots at the hospital but luckily, the contractions subsided and I managed to keep my little boy in until now! 39 weeks today! I’m going in at 8:30 tonight to start the induction process because of my gestational diabetes. I’m nervous and excited!
I was induced with my daughter, but I didn’t need the gel/pessary/balloon because I was already dilated, so they broke my waters and started contracting naturally! This time is different, I have no idea if I’m dilated or not (midwives here in the U.K. don’t check for dilation until 40 weeks) so I’m probably going to need to be medically induced. Could anyone tell me their experiences with being induced medically? I’m just worried about the pain, I have a very low pain threshold 😣
