Brown discharge 2 days before period

Hi ladies! I think this is normal I just want to make sure. My “period” is due this Thursday, and Saturday I had some brownish discharge which started happening last month too on the Saturday before my period. Today I woke up and had brown discharge again. I wore a panty liner to my classes and there was quite a bit of discharge when I got back and I have cramps too. I’ve had all my normal pms symptoms and I’m not concerned about pregnancy since I’m on the combo pill and take it like I should but I just wanted to see if this is normal since I’ve never really experienced this before and the internet just tells me it’s implantation bleeding.
