Does your 3 year old “help” you with something if asked?

So I sustained an injury the other day and have been on “bed rest” while I heal but since I’m a SAHM with a 3.5 year old and a 1 year old I’m not really able to rest. I’m sitting more on the couch with a heating pad and I’ve been asking my 3.5 year old to help me a little, but he won’t. I’m really surprised and kind of concerned. For example, I asked him to hand me my phone, and he looked at me and ignored me. I kept asking, and he finally just said “no.” I asked him to tell me what his 1 year old brother was doing in his room and he once again ignored me and told me no. It’s been various things like that all day. I’m just really surprised, like I thought toddlers were always really up for being involved and helping but mine seems to not give a shit. I even explained to him that mommy is in pain but he’s just like “okay”.
