So we bleed for 6 weeks after and then get our period again the same week where considered ‘healed ‘ from giving birth ? So that’s 7 weeks of bleeding?

I stopped bleeding 2 weeks pp. Baby is 8 weeks now and I haven’t gotten my period yet.

It’s different for everyone. I bled 2-3 weeks post partum then I didn’t get my period again until 8-9 months later.

I didn’t bleed after my births.  Got my period at 6 weeks PP with both.  My body was super eager to jump right back in!  I think there is a range of normal with this.

I bled for a week heavy and then resumed periods after that. They did vary from heavy to light and wasn’t like clockwork normal for a few cycles though.

I bled on and off for 6 weeks after giving birth and now I’m 12 weeks postpartum and haven’t had a period yet. Exclusively breastfeeding, tracking fertility and no ovulation yet according to BBT, but I’ve had a few days of potentially fertile cervical fluid so I know it could be happening soonish.

The length of bleeding post partum depends on the woman. The wound left in the uterus from the placenta takes up to 6 weeks to heal. I bled for 3 weeks post partum. I got my period 6 weeks after I stopped bleeding, but it still just depends. It’ll be different for every woman and every pregnancy.

Idk if I ever considered the bleeding after giving birth a form of a period. I bled for weeks after birth and then didn’t bleed again until I stopped breastfeeding 6 months later, which I would have considered my first period after birth.
