Does your 6 month old still wake up at night?

My son wakes every 3-4hrs at night he’s never slept through the night and the most he’s down without waking is 5hrs which is pretty rare. His pd said he should be sleeping through the night at his age. Is there any other moms dealing with this?

My 2 year old still wake up most nights.... Sleep is developmental, it doesn't magically just happen at a specific age or time.

Worst thing I ever did going into parenting was think my baby was going to be sleeping through the night by six months. I got an exceptionally poor sleeper and it just stressed me out more thinking she should be sleeping through the night by now. It will come eventually, a lot of babies just take longer to sleep through. My second just turned one and isn’t sleeping through yet and it’s been way less stressful for me because I didn’t expect him to and I know it’ll come. It’s hard but it’s a short phase of life.

My first child didn’t sleep through the night consistently until he was 3. My second child is 6 months now and has never slept through the night so far.

2 out of my 3 were not sleeping through the night at that age. 
My oldest didn't sleep through the night until 3.5. He stopped nursing at night around 16 months but still needed me to come cuddle with him until he fell back asleep. 
My middle turned 3 in September and still doesn't sleep through the night. Stopped nursing at night at 13 months. He still wakes up a few times a night but he has autism and doesn't like to be touched/held so he doesn't need me to come in and settle him. He just sits in his bed and babbles/plays with his barbie until he goes back to sleep. His room is right across from mine though so I usually hear him wake. 
My 17 month old has slept through the night since he was 4 months old. He occasionally will have periods where he is sick or cutting teeth and wakes a few times. But if he isn't sick or teething, he sleeps through the night.

My daughter wakes at least once at night. It’ll happen when it happens. The best we can do is give them an optimal sleep environment

Both my girls didn’t sleep through the night until a year old. My pediatrician said the same thing but I went in to feed them if they woke up. I think by 6 months they were only waking 1-2 times a night.
