Pacifier Issues! HELP!

Soo my 2yr old(soon be 3 in jan.) is stuck to her pacifier. We taught her she can't leave the house with it. But once she comes in the house, she automatically runs to it. Then recently I found out that the daycare she attends secretly gives her one without my consent. One day when i picked her up, she walked out the room with it and the lady took it out her mouth and said "she needs it". I was soo upset about it. They keep complaining to me about how her tantrums is really bad and thats the reason why she needs it. I really want her to give it up, because maybe that will teach her to relax on her own and not get so worked up on things. I just don't know how and obviously the daycare isn't helping. What should I do?
