i know this is a dumb question like ofc why wouldn’t you have one it’s your first baby! but here’s the thing: my boyfriends family is very chaotic and embarrassing at times. they also like to throw things in your face so if they helped plan or something later down the line we would hear about it and i honestly don’t want anything from them. we live with them and pay rent but i just don’t want a big party i hate events because my anxiety and also just thinking about all his family and my family together when they don’t know each other(plus they talk a lot of smack about white people and i’m half white) my family who would be coming would be majority white. idk how to feel about it i’m only 21 and i always thought about how i wouldn’t want to do that because of his family. i know it would help greatly with gifts for the baby but ughhh i just don’t feel ready for it.
