Scared to come out
I’m nonbinary (they/them pronouns) and I’ve known since I was 12 but I’m still too scared to come out at age 18.
My parents know I’m nonbinary and believe it’s just a phase. Last time I checked phases don’t last for 6 years. I came out to my friends and most of them are supportive, but I’m still too scared to come out to my teachers.
I’m in Year 13 (UK) and I’m taking my A Levels in May. I won’t be able to get my name changed on the register or anything but I’m tired of being called by my deadname and she/her pronouns. Should I just send an email to my teachers or is it better to talk face to face?
