So my SO's mother wanted to plan my shower, and since I do not relate to my mother anymore I agreed. We've been close for the last six years so I was actually excited. Apparently by giving her this small inch, she's decided to turn it into a mile...she is constantly trying to tell me how to eat, to quit my job and become a stay-at-home mom, move back home and quit college, hate towards my midwife, dissapointed about me not gaining enough weight and I could keep going. The latest is she wants the shower to be after my son is born, and at her house which is an hour and a half away from me (one way!). After saying I don't want to drive that far with a newborn for a shower, she lost her mind on me and called me a control freak and a brat. This is literally the first time I spoke up to her about an issue! My SO even tried talking her out of this insanity and she snapped on him too, saying I was controlling him and what not! I don't know what to do with her anymore honestly.
