Covid: perfume smell?

Anna

Hi there!

I know this might not be the topic for this “page”/group but I need some help or tips.

So I had covid in august without knowing, and I took the vaccine at the same time. I know the vaccine doesn’t cause anything like loss of smell or taste. I got really sick and felt like crap after the vaccine, and when I finally got better after a few days I experienced a loss in smell and a slight loss in taste. My taste came back soon after but since august my sense of smell hasn’t changed. Earlier in November I was able to distinguish some smells. It was really light and only things like smoke (grills, cigarettes, etc.). Now I can only smell one scent. It’s a really strong floral perfume, and that’s all I smell. It gets stronger when I know there’s other scents I should be smelling. (I hope this makes sense) I cannot stop smelling this floral perfume. I don’t remember having any products like it. Whenever I try to smell coffee or other distinct smells like men’s cologne, I only smell an intensified smell of the floral perfume.

I’m wondering if anyone has experienced this or knows anything about this?

I’ve been reading articles and I have an appointment to an ENT Doctor but still, does anyone have any tips?

Thank you and stay safe!
