The day I went in for my first appointment, I was 13 weeks and my doctor had me do a glucose test. This is my first child and first pregnancy, I’m not sure exactly what the factors for being higher risk for gestational diabetes are, but I am not overweight and I’m not over 25 (which is what came up on google for higher risk).

Anyways, I passed that test. Now they are wanting to test me again on January 8th, i will be 27 weeks. Is there a specific reason for this? Has this ever happened to you? I’ve been told you usually just do it once later in your pregnancy, maybe it’s just my doctor and a practice of his?
