Echogenic focus on the heart
Had my anatomy scan on Saturday at 18 wks 3 days. Got a call from my dr today. All measurements were good and baby is right on target. The only thing is that they saw a small soft mark on his heart (also known as echogenic focus). This is a sign of a Down syndrome. I have to go see a high risk specialists in two weeks for a level two ultrasound. They said since there is only one and it's small everything should be fine but they still need to check it out further. Anyone else ever have this or know anyone who has?
