Post Laparoscopy Period?

I had my laparoscopy to remove endometriosis on Dec. 10. I was taking birth control and continued to take it since my doctor said it was okay. My husband and I are going to be starting TTC with my next cycle. I finished the three weeks of active pills on Friday night and am now on the placebo week (which would put my projected period starting on Tuesday). Is it likely that my period will actually start then or will it come later due to the laparoscopy? I read that sometimes your period will not come for like 4-6 weeks after the surgery but I wasn’t sure if I should still expect it Tuesday. I’m afraid of how bad it will be 😬 thanks for any insight!
