Neighbor constantly smokes weed and it comes in my home, beyond upset.
So I live in a townhouse, some of the people here rent and others own. I also live in a tropical climate, we don’t have AC so we keep our windows open basically year round. The last few months the wind has been blowing weed smoke and smell into my home right into my bedroom where my newborn sleeps. It’s a one bedroom townhouse so it cannot really move where we sleep. And if I keep the window closed it gets way too stuffy in here. I have no idea which neighbor at is, as I’ve walked around the neighborhood when I smell it which is basically 24/7 and I’ve never actually seen anyone smoking or seen where the smell is coming from. We have about a year left here (cannot just move as we signed a lease), but the complaints to our landlord have fallen on deaf ears because each townhome is owned or rented separately. I’ve even resorted to going outside and kind of shouting that it would be great if whoever is smoking weed could do it elsewhere because it literally stinks up my home for hours. My next step will be putting letters on each door that children and infants live here and it’s not okay to constantly be smelling weed. Please don’t tell me I’m being a Karen also, I get people can do whatever, but given that weed is still illegal in my state, and I’m being forced to breathe it in almost all day long in my own home, I’m beyond frustrated. The smell gives me migraines and makes me feel nauseous so I can only imagine how my newborn feels. It also stinks up our bedroom and sheets. I just don’t know what to do anymore.
I literally said in the post that I cannot break my lease or move, housing prices are outrageous. And I should not be forced out of my home due to this.
