Is this okay….

So my husband has basically told me on multiple occasions that he thinks all men lack empathy and don’t care about others or their feelings and made it very clear that he doesn’t. He thinks this is how men are biologically predisposed and that it’s not a bad thing to not care about the well being of others. This is alarming to me especially since we have a young son who I want to be brought up having and understanding empathy and being caring, kind etc. I value that more than just about any other quality tbh. Before we were married whether or not he possesses what I thought were normal human emotions that everyone possesses was never brought up. I’m not sure how to handle this I’m kinda just shocked by it. He has mistreated me in the past and seemed to not care and that was a big issue now he is kind to me, but if he does not care about others that doesn’t sit right with me for many reasons. Does anyone have any kind of advice or consolation for me cause I can’t even think clearly about this really cause it just has caught me so off guard.
