Is this normal for teething babies?
If this seems like a stupid question, it’s EXACTLY why I’m asking here first instead of calling and looking stupid to my baby’s pediatrician 😂
Anyways My son has his 2 front teeth on the bottom (the ones labeled “one” on the picture) but they grew fairly early at 3 months - he’s almost 9 months old now so i don’t remember much from when his first ones came in. What I am confused on is that my son seems to have been trying to teeth his two top side teeth (labeled “three” on the chart) since the first of the month. Showing classic signs of teething like large amounts of drool, chewing on everything, etc. the whole month. He has also had the two front ones (labeled “two”) for the same amount of time but they haven’t grown to the gum line. The “threes” grew in pretty quickly but then stopped and have been sitting at the gum line with a pretty prominent impression for weeks now. All day today, if you touch anywhere near his mouth, he screams and then starts to cry hysterically. I tried to get a peek at his mouth but the teeth still appear the same. Nothing seems to console him. He fought sleep until he got too exhausted and knocked out. He had these same symptoms a couple weeks ago and no change either.
I’m just worried that his symptoms and pain are going to increase but his teeth will still just continue to sit at the gum line. Is it normal for babies’ teeth to sit at the gum lines for so long? Is it okay that he isn’t growing them in the order that’s shown on the picture?
