Family friend owe me flight money!

A family friend asked me if she could tag along with us on a trip to Mexico. I’ve been asking her since October for payment since I put it on my card (dumbest thing I’ve done 🤦🏻‍♀️)! I messaged her last week that I needed the money by this Wednesday.

No responses at all! Not even a text saying I’m short money. Not a text saying she’s not going, just plain ghosting me!

At this point, I don’t think I will be getting the money so I’m wanting to just cancel her ticket!

Would would y’all do! I’m so mad at myself for buying her ticket!

UPDATE:

I wasn’t expecting her to contact me. Today is the day I told her I needed the money. Now she isn’t sure if she wants to go and might want to travel with her mom separately.

I advised her “Either way it’s a non refundable ticket and I still would need payment before I leave next week!” She isn’t in town right now and stated she would give it to me when she comes back but didn’t tell me when that would be.

At this point I’m going to reply “I’ll cancel then and get back with me then.”

You are not about to fly somewhere for free and still not pay me.
