High temperature

Does anyone’s toddler get a high temperature often? My little girl gets high temperatures very often, with every cold or bug she catches. For the last 12 hours she has had a high temperature of 40.1 with no other symptoms and paracetamol doesn’t help much. I’m waiting on a call back from a doctor but just looking for advice from fellow mums as I can’t deal with these constant high temps and no answers. She had a febrile convulsion at the beginning of the year so that adds to my anxiety
