Did you experience sex (gender) disappointment with any of your pregnancies?

Yes. Even though I wanted a boy when I found out he was a boy I was a little sad 😅 took me like a week to process. But I love him so much. I wouldn’t change it for anything

Yes. A little bit with my current. And the kicker is I wanted a boy 😂 I have 3 boys and a girl. Once I realized this is my last I was kind of disappointed it wasn’t a girl. Even though I 100% wanted a boy 😂 damn hormones

Yes, I wanted a girl so bad but had a boy. I knew in my gut when I conceived it was a boy but I still hoped it was a girl. I cried happy & sad tears tears I found out, but honestly I love my boy so much that I want another! I feel like I was meant to be a boy Mom. Gender disappointment is real and it's okay to grieve but you will love your baby regardless.

I didn’t, but we had a girl first, which I really wanted, so if she’d been a boy I reckon I would’ve been a bit disappointed at first until I got used to it

Nope even though I believed I felt really strongly about it. Getting the wrong gender (both times) didn’t matter because I just lived having a baby

I have 3 boys currently waiting to find out what my 4th will be I assume another boy … I would love a daughter but also love my boys so much I will be a little sad to not experience a mother daughter relationship but as long as the baby is healthy I don’t really mind at all .. babies are a blessing

I had absolutely no preference with my first, I was convinced it was a boy (I didn’t find out until birth) and I was thrilled. Turned out to be a girl and I was still thrilled. Currently ttc no 2 (last baby) and I have no preference but I do think if my daughter had been a boy, I’d be secretly hoping for a girl second time around. As it is, one of each would be wonderful or 2 daughters would be equally as wonderful

For me it wasn't so much disappointed that we were having a boy just more sad about not having a girl and vice versa. It was a feeling that caught me by surprise for sure.
Like mourning for this idea of what our life would look like if we had a boy instead of a girl or if we had a girl instead of a boy. Of course it's only for a little bit until I wrap my head around what gender we are actually having.

I wanted my second to be a boy . I was a single mom and already had a boy, I thought it would be easier … they could share a room and I already had all boys stuff etc. but I was blessed with they most perfect little girl. It all worked out ❤️
