How far along were you when you announced?

I’ll be 11 weeks on Saturday and me and my husband are wanting to announce on New Year’s Day but I have so much anxiety as this little baby is our 🌈rainbow. I know there really isn’t a safe zone in pregnancy and you can announce whenever you want and what’s comfortable. But how far were you when you announced? Should I just go for it?

9/10 weeks immediate family, 2nd trimester to extended family and friends. 20 weeks on social media & announced gender at gender reveal at 14 weeks. This was my rainbow baby so I waited longer. I also didn't start registry until I knew a due date, the gender for sure at 20 weeks and then started it and didn't share it til 3rd trimester with social media. Shower is in 2 and a half weeks. So I mean I would do what your comfortable with.

this is my rainbow baby too, but i was also incredibly nervous about how my family would react. i ended up announcing to my parents at 24+ weeks. i was wearing big hoodies to cover up at family events. they were very excited, it just took me a while to muster up the courage.

With our second, 7 weeks to close family (my best friends knew when I tested positive at 3w4d), 9 weeks to extended family, and 11 weeks on social media.

I announced Christmas Eve at just under 8 weeks, but we have had a very complicated pregnancy so far and I had to take it easy which my family would have noticed. Didn’t really give us much choice.
