Omnicron

Who else is having a lot of anxiety about covid and omnicron ? Especially that’s it’s sky rocketing. I’m fully vaccinated but I still don’t know if it’s going to be bad if I catch it I heard if pregnant women catch it they are in the icus. I’m 34 weeks pregnant and I’m scared if I catch it my baby is also I heard it can cause stillbirth

I have an 7 year old at home and I don’t know if I should do online schooling with him or not just to be safe but my annoying family is giving me a hard time about it

Same and just about to be 33 weeks. Annoying more than anything.

I had it at 6w unvaccinated and I handled it just fine with natural remedies. Don’t buy too much into the media hysteria. They love to hype it up to make you scared.

I’m pregnant and unvaccinated and not concerned. As viruses mutate, they become more transmissible with milder symptoms. This is going to be around forever so you may as well quit living in fear. Everyone will likely get it at some point. Don’t believe all the media hype.

I feel your pain. It’s hard not to worry being a parent. Our parents didn’t have to raise kids in a world we are in now so do what you feel is right.

Cases may be skyrocketing, but hospitalizations and deaths are not—at least not due to omicron. The only thing that matters is hospitalizations and deaths; not everyone who is at home with the sniffles.

Put yourself in a bubble don’t go out until you need to give birth if your that afraid. You’re vaccinated if the shot works then you shouldn’t be worried

This one isn’t nearly as bad as the others. The dr that discovered it even said people don’t need to panic. You’re more likely to get it but your also more likely to not even know you have it or have very mild symptoms. From what they are saying it sounds like a very minor cold.

Symptoms with this variant are very mild. Cases are up because it is more transmissible. But it is so mild. We are 99% sure we have it rn, due to exposure but no point in testing because we no longer qualify under our new provincial testing guidelines 🙄. honestly I’ve had soooo many worse colds than this. & I’m severely immune compromised. It is literally so mild I probably wouldn’t have even guessed i had it had we not been told of exposure. My kids have stuffy noses & light cough. I have a scratchy throat & had a headache yesterday. My fiancé had a stuffy nose. My step grandma who is very immune compromised with cancer & treatments had it over Christmas & she barely got sick. Do not panic about the numbers.

More so concerned about my remaining appts and having it in labor or my spouse being sick! I’m vaccinated- not extremely worried but I’m due this month and not like I can reschedule appts at this point 🤷🏽‍♀️ I just don’t want issues in the hospital

Hey just to ease your worries, I’m 16 weeks pregnant and unvaccinated and tested positive. I have had fever ( only 37.5 ) for one night and body aches for a couples of days along with a mild cough. I woke up on the fourth day of quarantine feeling absolutely fine.
