It was the first Saturday of the fall with no football game. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I just wanted a May wedding. Both of our birthdays are in May and it felt right. So when we booked our venue they had 2 Saturday’s left and we chose the one in between our birthdays.

Laziness and convenience lol. Got married on our anniversary so we would only have one date to remember.

Our regular anniversary was July 11… we got married July 12 because the eleventh was a Sunday and the judge was off…. 
We had our ceremony in Jamaica July 16 but we were married already… we count the 12th

It was a Monday and we only had a few guests for coffee at home 😊

My husband waited a while to propose as my parents asked because of siblings were also engaged. When he did he gave me 365 days to plan a wedding. So I chose the date we got engaged because it was available at the venue he liked the most. So both practical and sentimental.

It was a combination for us. We love the fall so we wanted that season 100%. Then we had to avoid birthdays, not book during the start of hunting season 😂 check with vendors and the location and as we live in a ski town we made sure to book in the “off season” to save a huge amount 😅
Also liked the fall as family wouldn’t have to travel in the snow. We chose the 28th of September.
I know some couples that picked for sentimental reasons like an anniversary and some that just picked a Saturday that worked. Our date was also 6 days after our anniversary date so that was nice 🥰
