i was terribly sick this weekend after being exposed to covid last week. i am on lo loestrin fe and my last period was dec 10th to the 14th. because i was not feeling well i missed three pills in my third week of my pill pack. i started my unexpected period on sat jan 1st i assume because i missed three pills and was told by the pharmacist to resume bc with a new pill pack the sunday after my period ends. how long should my so and i use protection? also had unprotected sex the week that i missed the pills before i started feeling bad and before i missed the pills will that affect anything?
