Getting off the pill

Hi all

So I recently decided to stop taking the pill to see if it will help my weight loss journey. I stopped taking it last Tuesday and got my fake period on Saturday. They usually last 4-5 days and then end. However, this morning I woke up and the bleeding was very heavy, like the beginning of a real period. Is this normal when coming off the pill?
