Question

What do you guys think about this stroller especially for newborn?

I had it for my first son and I absolutely love it. I’m pregnant for my second and would gladly repurchase before I ever used anything else. It’s soooo worth the money. Just the fact that baby never needs to be in the ground. I see people constantly having the infant seat on the ground at restaurants or balanced on a table or on the bed where it could fall. With this car seat you never need to worry about taking out a bulky stroller when it’s raining or snowing. You literally take the seat out of the car, press a button, and boom your ready to go wheels and everything. This is def my top #1 thing on baby list

In my opinion, the convenience is comparable to getting a stroller that you can click your car seat onto. My thought process was “why spend $500+ on something that i can only use for maybe a year, when i could put that money towards a nice, more versatile stroller that will last much longer?”

Doona is 1: time limited. Most kids grow out of the infant seat quite quickly. 2: not that great to install properly and safely each time. 3: overpriced for what you get. 
You can buy an entire travel system AND a convertible seat for less that will last longer, or you could spend a little more and get a nice travel system and convertible seat that will last you longer. I cannot recommend the vista enough. It can start as a travel system with the infant seat clicking in, the stroller seat is safe for use from birth, and you have a seat that holds up to 55lb, so will serve your kid the entire time they use a stroller. We loved the bassinet attachment that folded flat for travel. He slept in it for ages. The other stroller I will always recommend a the baby jogger city mini GT. The push is super smooth and it’s just a solid, easy stroller. Buy functional items that are higher quality and multipurpose. Doona isn’t it.

I got the chicco travel system just because of cost but found it very comparable to the uppababy system, just slightly smaller wheels. If I lived in a more urban setting or had a summer infant, the doona would be a must have because trying to navigate city streets with a bulkier stroller is obnoxious. But my winter babe will likely outgrow the infant seat by the time it’s really warm enough to go for walks in the stroller and our winters are too rough for the compact wheels so it wasn’t worth it for us.
BIG turn off for us as tall parents (5’8” & 6’3”) the handlebar is very low, and I’ve heard not comfortable to push for anyone taller than about 5’6”. If you can check it out in person, try pushing it around! Speaking from 2 months of diaper changes on a bed, my back would not have been able to handle a low stroller as well.

My son is 18 months and still fits in it. But we upgrading him to a convertible car seat and buying new insert and cleaning it up for the new babe that is coming this June. I spent $340 with tax after discounts on the Doona. I love it and it’s easy for appointments and especially leaving the hospital with baby. I know I definitely got my money worth since my son used it for 18 months still like new conditions and will use for the next baby.

I have this one and wish I would've gotten a lightweight one meant for a toddler. This one was gifted to me from my registry and is really nice. The downsides are storing it (it's big and only collapses in half, has lots of parts you only use for the first 6 months until baby can sit up, and it's heavy. Many strollers are like that nowadays. When my second kid comes I might sell the stroller for a simple toddler foldable one. Babies can be worn with a carrier when walking and I don't really run anymore as a mom.

I loved mine. I have 3 kids all 21 months apart so it lasted through all 3 before it hit the expiration date.
