Diaper Genie

Question

Any recommendations on a diaper genie? I have one picked out but also wanted to poll you guys and see what y’all say.

We had a diaper genie with my first but hated how much it smelled and the special bags is needed. We love this one. Worth the price IMO

We bought the Dekor brand diaper pail for my sons room and have loved it. Works great, keeps all those wonderful smells inside and refills aren’t stupid expensive.

Yes, it does take special bags but they are cheap on amazon. I like that you don’t have to waste a whole trash bag on one stinky diaper.

I have that exact diaper genie. It holds lots of diapers but the smell is gross. I'd go with a regular trash can if I were to do it over. The bags you can get cheap on Amazon. They have their own brand that work great. Honestly, it's kind of just a gimmick for new parents to buy them. Most moms will probably tell you to skip it if they've had a few kids. It was cool for the first few months after my kid was born but 18 months later it's just OK.

I have that one as well and still use it for my 2 year old. We use the Mama Bear refills from amazon, they are cheaper than the playtex refills but hold in the smell better than other off brand refills.

We stopped using it at 6 months. Once he had normal food we just started throwing diapers in the regular trash.
I would say it's a waste of money.
