What actually happens when you skipped a pill?

I was at an amusement park last night and wasnt able to take my pill until 1:30 in the morning.. im supposed to at 8 at night. What actually happens when you skip a pill? Do you ovulate? what are the chances of getting pregnant?

As long as u took it as soon as you remembered you should be fine.. After so many misses they recomend you use a back up form of birth control along with your pills.. Sometimes they tell you to discard the rest of your pill pack all together

It was only a few hours. You'll be fine. You are supposed to take it as soon as you recall and should be just fine as it was only one pill.

I skip a few times. You probably won't get your period this month. But that's just counting on your body, since everyone girl is different. I've gone out with friends and come home late and take my pill and continue taking it at the time I'm supposed to and I usually get my period when I'm supposed to. It's when you completely miss your dose that you won't get your period. Nothing really will happen to you. I've missed a dose of my pill and had sex the next day without a condom and I'm not pregnant. But I suggest you talk to your doctor or a pharmacist (im a pharm tech btw) about questions like that and they'll let you know on a more professional level. Good luck :)
