I make my own version of Peptobismal ;) it's safer, tastes better and works in a pinch. I call it "No Regrets". It's an herbal tea.

It's a lemon grass and peppermint blend (found on adagio.com - I made the mix myself!)

Use 2tsp per 1cup of water, and brew for 5 minutes. You can also add a few drops of freshly squeezed lemon for extra flavor, but (as someone who isn't a huge fan of peppermint) it tastes fine on it's own.

Use it for indigestion and heartburn :)

I make some of these things, but not all. I'm moving more and more in this direction, however.

We make our own soap, which is great! The recipe we use has olive oil, coconut oil, Shea butter, and Palm oil (be careful of how the palm is sourced). You really need a good scale to make this because the measurements are precise and important. You don't want to burn yourself with lye!

I also make my own sugar scrub: almond oil and sugar to the consistency you like. About 10 drops of essential oil to 4 oz scub (give or take)

Lip balm as well. Recently made a great recipe.

I've also made lotion for myself and lotion bars. They can be a bit greasy at first, but I have very dry skin, so it's great for me.

I make my own brown sugar and honey face/body scrub to exfoliate when I feel I need it.  I don't really follow any set guide lines. I warm up the honey in the microwave for 30-45 seconds. I pour some brown sugar in a bowl and pour the honey into the bowl, mixing it until it becomes a paste like consistency.  Something my sister's friend showed me when I was in middle school that just sort of stuck with me.

Sugar scrub: 1 lemon, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 white sugar, 2 tblspoons of honey. Mix together apply to face as mask for 10 minutes rinse off, or use for body scrub. Store the rest in the fridge for later. It is amazing for exfoliating your face or body and you feel so soft after. Plus it makes your skin glow and is good for treating acne. Amazing stuff!

I'd love to, but they don't sell a ton of things in my area, and I just don't get around to it. Also, I'd be afraid for hair products of them not working on my hair and I'd just stick normal stuff.

I make my own hard sugar wax for my upper lip! Lol it's 2 cups of sugar, half a cup of lemon juice and half cup water. Boil for 7 minutes or until it's a light Amber color and cool in a Tupperware ☺️
