How could you tell baby was head down?

Any other options please comment below! Just curious on how you could tell for your pregnancy that baby was head down. I know pregnancy can look different on everyone

After my baby flipped my midwife showed me how to feel in my lower abdomen for her head.

So at 31 weeks: I was feeling rib kicks and thought baby was head down. Turns out she was breech and her feet were up by her head. 
Between 34-36 weeks: I did miles circuit and other things to encourage flipping. I was 80% sure she had flipped using belly mapping. But I couldn’t be quite sure if she was totally head down or if she was transverse because I felt rib/ side big kicks that were pretty low sometimes, like down by my hip bones 
36 weeks: scan confirmed she was head down and LOW in my pelvis (which is why some of the kicks were low) 
Now at 40 weeks: I know where her body is very clearly since she’s so big. 
So in my experience: it gets easier as they get bigger, but babies are super flexible and they can kinda trick you a bit sometimes!

second trimester i couldn’t tell unless i got ultrasound third i can tell from her hiccups they come from my pelvis since she’s dropped and also a lot lightening crotch from her being head down in my pelvis

Do not do the miles circuit unless you get your obgyn approval. 
Also, they should tell you at a sonogram. If you are declining sonograms, your only choice is the mapping

Only knew at midwife appointments when she measured my belly and felt for baby. Other than that I wouldn’t have known

My doctor started feeling around 30 weeks. So I guess he could just feel it!
